While on the trip to the flea market in Shippsey I went buy the Open Road plant saw something I had never seen getting ready to
come out the door. Low and behold it was the first ever Supra ComposLite (Hope I got the Composlite spelling correct.) fiver.
Pulled in the parking lot and walked up to look and their was David Sr and Jr so said hi and senior asked it we would like to
take a look at the unit. YES WE DO we said.
David took us through the unit and showed us all the new things that are in the unit most of which are for weight saving. I have worked in the RV Industry here in Indiana for many, many years and I have never seen this much innovation in construction in my time here. There are so many that I will try to list them below as best I can remember. Yes that many.
Composite Roof (No rubber roof to streak)
Composite Sidewalls
Composite Floors
Composite Bay doors (Only about ½ inch or less thick and much stronger)
Interior cabinet door fronts are some kind of Composite and the look and feel the same as wood.
All new slide room hardware quicker and saves a lot of weight.
All new frames.
With all the Composite material water leaks damage will be nil. The formaldehyde problem (If their really was one.) with the new
material should be almost nothing.
For a unit that is being built to save weight I did not feel anything light about the floors sidewall etc. Which is usually the
problem when you try to lighten units up.
All of the above are my observations and opinions tried to get it correct.
