Has anyone here ever pulled an RV through the Tetons? I was wondering how difficult the elevation climbs and decents were on your tow vehicle. I guess as long
as you keep moving forward and don't start to roll backwards...it's a good thing...LOL..We were considering this trip until we recalled having to
travel through the Tetons. Might be a major traffic back up if our truck cannot handle the steep grades...on the other hand...maybe there's a different
route we could take to get to Yellowstone from Western Colorado. Any input is greatly appreciated...

Do not enter Yellowstone from the east via Cody, rt. 14/16. Beautiful drive, not to be missed, but certainly not pulling a camper. Coming north
through the Tetons shouldn't be a problem but you'll need to consider how you'll get to Jackson. From the south and/or east
shouldn't be a problem. Envy you the trip, Yellowstone/Tetons are my very favorite places. Be sure you have reservations & you aren't in
a hurry, there will be traffic jams. Parks will be full in summer and distances are great. Small group of us will be in the Black Hills July 11-18. Most
welcome to join us if in neighborhood and have time. Let us know if you want/need specifics. Have a safe journey.

Sounds like coming in from the south will not be an issue then. Still have to figure how to get to Jackson...if need be...Not sure we're going to Yellowstone yet, just making something advance plans...Thanks for your input... RockyMountainCamper |

really think it's a good idea your asking the questions. Could save you a lot of grief. I hope when the time comes and you take your trip, you have a

Yea, Yea...I know...lol...
We really haven't pulled this thing up or down any major grades yet. With only a half ton truck, I'm hoping the Triton V-8 will do the trick. We're below the GVWR fully loaded...but not by much...I need to find a scale to find out EXACTLY where we are...but all the math I've done hundreds of times over...I think we'll be okay.
